1. What is your favorite part of the Chicago Yarn Crawl?
I love that people are encouraged to explore the variety that the Chicago area offers. Every store has a different personality, so you are bound to find your vibe at one of them.
2. How long have you been in business and how did you get started?
String Theory opened in 2004 with the goal to make the world a better place. By purchasing yarn from String Theory, you’re lifting up a number of small and female-owned businesses. We help women in Rwanda who survived the genocide. We help women in Uruguay find meaningful work without leaving their rural homes. 3. What makes your shop unique?
String Theory features yarns that are socially responsible and environmentally friendly. Our shelves are stocked with the things you might look for at a yarn festival: small brands that you don't see everywhere, exclusive hand dyes, specific breed wools and lots of inspiration
4. What is your favorite part of being an LYS owner?
I love the community that has been created around our table: all sorts of people from diverse backgrounds that form friendships around making things. Everyone is welcome here.
